Sustainability
The most sustainable garment is the one that did not need replacing. Our first commitment is therefore unglamorous: build pieces that survive a decade of wear, and cut runs short enough that none of them are destroyed unsold.
Materials
Shells are recycled technical fabrics; insulation is recycled down held to a traceable standard. Wool comes from mills that can name the flock. Where a recycled option would compromise a garment's lifespan, we use the virgin fibre and say so rather than trading durability for a claim.
Making
Production sits with a small number of long-standing ateliers in Portugal and Italy. Small runs mean short reorders, which means we can pay for the hours a garment actually takes instead of the hours a price target allows.
What we have not solved
Shipping emissions, dye-house water use, and end-of-life recovery are all open problems for us. We would rather list them than round them into a headline figure.
