The Craft

A Nexora piece takes shape three times before it is cut in cloth: once in calico, once in a substitute fabric of the same weight, and once in the fabric itself. Most of the decisions that matter are made in the first two.

The pattern table

Volume is drafted flat, then argued with on the stand. A cape that reads as architecture standing still has to collapse correctly when the wearer turns — so the pattern is cut for the second state and checked against the first.

Finishing

Seams are pressed open and taped by hand where the fabric will take it. Closures are concealed, because a placket is a design decision and most garments make it by accident.

The run

A run closes when the atelier says the last piece met the first. There is no second pressing of a season.
